Welcome to my website. Whether you have arrived here deliberately, or by accident, you are more than welcome.

I seem to have been writing all my life. Throughout the school years, four years of university and a long working life there always seemed to be something waiting to be written up. When I wasn’t writing, I was reading, compulsively devouring every sort of book that I could lay my hands on.  The urge to write novels grew steadily, but I found that I simply couldn’t do it while I had a business to run. I admire those who can switch off the world around them and concentrate on writing fiction, but I found it impossible. My head was so full of the complexities of earning a living that I couldn’t also accommodate the clear thinking required for structuring plots and developing characters. I retired as soon as I possibly could and, at last, the novels began to appear.
